John Small founded Small Improvements, LLC in Tucson in 2014. Focusing solely on window replacement, John initially represented multiple window manufacturers as a local retailer-installation company until he partnered with Infinity from Marvin and started installing their fiberglass framed windows. Vinyl windows are a huge problem for retailer-installation companies like Small Improvements in this extreme climate and John knew he absolutely had to get out of the vinyl window replacement business. Most consumers think they are getting a life-long window replacement solution backed with an iron clad warranty. The reality is when the vinyl frame starts to break down, the local installation company can only do so much and the fine print in the warranty will keep the manufacturer safe from liability.
Our story is about science! There is no window replacement product more tested and suited for our extreme climate. We see and hear ads that claim, “made in Arizona for Arizona”. The facts are that even if a window is assembled somewhere in Arizona, the vinyl extrusions and other component parts are made elsewhere in the USA or in China. They are the same components and parts that are in all vinyl windows assembled in the United States. Hands down, Infinity from Marvin’s Ultrex frame is the best value that exists. This is an enhancement to your home that you will boast to all of your friends and family about as long as you live there.
Based on the overwhelming success in Tucson, Infinity from Marvin increased Small Improvement’s territory to encompass the Phoenix market as well. Since John Small lives in Tucson and his showroom and warehouse are there also, he needed a partner to run and manage the Phoenix location. Greg Johnson had previously worked with two other Infinity from Marvin retailers and spent years prior to that with Renewal by Andersen in the Seattle market. Greg brought his son, Adam Johnson to also work in the Phoenix office.
As a consumer, I would feel very confident with Marvin’s 100+ years of innovation and John and Greg’s 35+ years of combined experience to manage your window replacement project successfully.
What Our Customers Say
Impressive. Our installers were on time, diligent and courteous. The product is truly superior and high end. We looked for replacement windows for a long time and I felt let down with the high maintenance of wood and cheapness of vinyl. Aluminum was what I thought was the most sturdy and effective but with the heat transference, that was problematic. Enter GLASS FIBER extrusion.Tim Shanahan
Process was smooth and the installation met all my expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone replacing windows. Greg took the time to go over materials and I was already skeptical about vinyl frames and I’m sure happy we went with fiberglass!Mark Ellis
